      Hello
I have a site to site tunnel setup between my business and my home. I am able to access any resources at my office, such as all of the webservers with no issues at all.

I am trying to connect my SIP phone on my desk to the PBX at my office and am not able to do so. I cannot get it to register.

I know this used to work when I had a VPN setup a few months ago (I had used a soft SIP phone on my iphone), so I know its possible. Any ideas where I may be missing something please let me know.

      Thanks

Is there a route from your office back to your home, can you reach your home subnet from the office?
It's likely that the pbx is trying to reach your phone's ip on your home lan rather than the vpn assigned IP.
I have a similar situation but haven't had the opportunity to look into it.

          Thermo,
Thanks for the quick response. I have checked from my workplace this morning that I am able to access the web interface on the cisco IP phone so the return path should be all clear. Any other ideas?

          Thanks!

            Hi,

I think you need to add option 66 to your home DHCP Server. So when your IP Phone boot he can find the PBX IP / hostname via option 66.

            Regards
