      I have a WIFI access point interface going through a openvpn client connection. This is working well.

      I configured a zone for the WIFI interface but this only blocks all internet access without any activity on the captive portal.

      How do I enable a captive portal for my access point to show the splash screen and set timeout limits?

        Turns out the problem is the DNS servers entry in DHCP server for WIFI interface. Seems to be working if I use the system default DNS servers.

        Sorry for the confusion.
