        Some quick feedback if I may.
        In the first hang out that was hosted by Fuze we were able to see, and respond to, comments from other attendees. This included JimP who was answering questions in real time which was great but I understand may not always be possible. Anyway being able to see the comments as well as the list of attendees gave the 'hang out' a much more community feel. There may well be some perfectly good reasons not to have this info exposed, privacy issues perhaps, it's probably very distracting to have a stream of comments going down while you're trying to present.

            I wanted to suggest that there be a little more warning before the hangout.  This one was announced the same day it was presented, and that day just happened to be a holiday in Canada.  I missed out on the Hangout 8(

              To be fair the date and time were first announced last month:
              @https://blog.pfsense.org/?p=1228:

              Mark your calendars for April 18 at the same time for next month’s session.

              But yes if you missed that it would have been easy to miss it altogether.

                When will the recording and slides be made available on the members area? The latest recording I can find is from March.

                  I also can't see the recording for this hangout yet, hopefully it can be made available soon to us that couldn't watch it live.

                  Thanks!

                    Sorry it took a bit, Fuze destroyed the recording again… so I re-recorded it. Jim P will be re-recording the audio for March in the near future.

                    I wasn't going to rely on Fuze's recording this time but couldn't get an alternative in place in time. Now have my Camtasia Mac license updated and will be using that in the future.

                    Thanks for the feedback. I agree it would be better as an open chat room. The change happened because we switched to webinar mode in Fuze, which sets various defaults to ones more appropriate for a large webinar. It prevents it from popping up a bunch of join notices on the presenter's screen, automatically mutes everyone (the first time around I kept having to flip back and hit "mute all" after more people would join), auto-accepts users, and other things.

                    It looks like I can change the chat settings though, so everyone can message everyone, or other individuals if they want. That's what I think is best, I'll attempt to enable that next time. I think it adds to the session to be able to have the attendees chat.

                    The chat is more or less hidden to the presenter so it's not an in-your-face distraction, but it's not easy to keep track of it. I think I'll join from my iPad or another laptop next time and put it next to me, to let me keep an eye on the chat more easily without it being distracting.

                      Thanks Chris, looking forward to Mays hangout.

                      A quick note on Fuze. In April I was once again thwarted by the Linux client. For a brief period in March they had clients available for multiple Ubuntu base versions and reports of them working well in the forum. One helpful forum user had even packaged it correctly to make the install process seamless. However since then they been through a re-branding exercise that seems to have included deleting almost all the content from the Linux section of their forum. The available client on April the 18th was a non-starter.  :(

                      Back to Android for me.  ::)
