Block IE traffic

In view of the serious bug announced today in Internet Explorer, I'm wondering if there is any way to block IE traffic. I've instructed employees not to use IE at the current time but we all know employees never listen. I don't want to uninstall IE on every machine while we wait for a patch but I'd like to force them to a different browser until such time as IE is patched.
Is there an easy (novice here) way to block all traffic from just this one browser?

A LART is very handy for that (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/LART). On a more serious note the Squid proxy seems to be able to do that:

Are you running squid - if so this should be possible with the acl browser
