      Hi

      Does pfSense SNMP support 64-bit counters for VIPs? In particular ifHCInOctets and ifHCOutOctets?

        Looks like it does. At least on a 64-bit install of pfSense

        $ snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.1.1 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6   
IF-MIB::ifHCInOctets.1 = Counter64: 107986975
IF-MIB::ifHCInOctets.2 = Counter64: 3779248
IF-MIB::ifHCInOctets.3 = Counter64: 0
IF-MIB::ifHCInOctets.8 = Counter64: 0
IF-MIB::ifHCInOctets.9 = Counter64: 0

          Yes, for LAN and WAN interface IPs it does support, but I was wondering whether it also supports 64-bit counters for CARP Virtual IPs.

          In short - I want to monitor in and out traffic for each VIP.

            The traffic doesn't flow "through" a VIP interface in that way.

            If you want Per-IP bandwidth stats, you need to use something fancier like Netflow.

              Ok, I see.

              I was just curious because there are some FWs/Load Balancers which supports various OIDs for VIPs, including "Per-IP bandwidth stats"
