      Dear All,

I have installed pfSense 2.1.5 on Hyper-V running on Windows 2012 R2 server. I have assigned two legacy network adapter for pfSense. After completed the installation and configured the IP adrdress, I cannot able to access to the web interface. I used the pfSense shell and ping the other VMs which on the same subnet. Of course I have tried to ping the network interface of the Hyper-V server too. However, I am not able to ping them at all.

I have another ESXi 5.5 server on the same network. I have used the same pfSense 2.1.5 iso to install a pfSense on this ESXi 5.5 server. It works properly and I can access to the web interface to perform configuration. I can also ping the other VMs which in the same subnet in the pfSense shell.

Is it an support issue of this version of pfSense to work properly on Hyper-V 2012 R2? Does any one here have experience in putting them to work? Any comments are welcome.

      Thanks a lot.

Use the 2.2 beta for better hyper-v support or run

        ifconfig hn0 down
        ifconfig hn0 up
(dhclient hn0 only if hn0 get his ip by a DHCP server)
        ifconfig hn1 down
        ifconfig hn1 up

after every start of your vm
