      I have a captive portal with pfsense 2.1.5 64bit, connected to the freeradius server on the same machine, with the packet 2.1.12_1/2.2.5_3 pkg v1.6.10  installed.
      Sometimes the captive portal does not allow navigation even though the login is ok.
      I have looked the log and there isn't any anomaly  I find only the message login ok.  This istance can reach 5200 user contemporary It's possible that they are too much?

      can anyone help me
      thanks a lot
      Paolo

        Hi,

        First of all: Where are the users? In the XML config or in a separate database?

        Regards

          The users are store in an active directory database which is interrogate by the radius server;
          The 5200 contemporary users are the max number of users contemporary logged in  in the instance.

            That should work!
            I Know a implementation with more users in an LDAP Backend.
            Did you trace the traffic between you pfSense and your backend? The response time could be the key.
            Do you query a single server? This server might answer to slow.

            Regards

              In this case, is it possibile to set the time delay on captive portal to force it to waiting the response

              Best regards

                Check the Max Request Timeout Value in the FreeRADIUS Settings ;-)
