Is it possible to only allow certain ports through the VPN so that when I client connects to the openvpn server, only those ports are the ones that are tunneled through the VPN and the continue to go through the user's Internet connection without being tunneled through the server?

Yes, but that has nothing to do with pfSense.  It would be a function of the client device.

So I need to set the client computer to do that? I've been trying to find info on how to do that, but all the tutorials out there cover linux, and my clients are Windows.
