Getting Ports Open
-
Dear All
I have trying, without any success, to open port 5066 (tcp) and the port range 16384 to 32768 (udp), for a BigBlueButton server. After searching quite a bit, I believe that I got the rules right for allowing this traffic, but as previously stated it is but the reality. I include a screenshots of the rules. Can someone please tell me what I am missing.
Thank you in advance.

Go delete both of those rules right now. Don't ask questions. Just do it.

Now. Instead of doing that in the firewall rules on WAN you probably want to search on setting up a port forward.
This involves setting an inbound interface (usually WAN) destination port and address (usually WAN address) and a NAT address (the local IP of the server you're trying to hit) and a NAT port on that server. Tell the NAT rule to set up the filter rule association and the correct firewall rule will be placed on your WAN interface.
Sorry, but when I see WAN rules allowing something from any to any I freak out a little.
