Is there something similar to LightSquid, that could give reporting statistics on non-http traffic?

(bytes transferred when and over what protocols?)

I would like to give the users the ability to track their own activities to help diagnose why they are burning thru their bytes transferred allotment so fast. If this isn't possible, I'm not sure how to do this thru the administrative interface.

What does pfsense offer in the way of logging and reporting what users are doing after logging into the captive portal?
We have a high tariff (expensive) and slow link so user accounting is very important to help everyone make the most of the link. Right now we are using a commercial tool and the reporting leave a lot to be desired.
For example, I'd like to have the ability to help them figure out their machine is passing a ton of imap traffic every so often so they can turn off automatic attachment downloads.

If this isn't readily available I'm not opposed to writing a module, but I don't know where to get started. How the accounting and radius integration works isn't very clear to me.
Can someone point me in the right direction for what parts of the documentation I should be looking at?

Ideally, this information would also be available after the user logs into the captive portal.

I could use tcpdump and a series of scripts to glue it all together, but I'd like to use pfsense if something already exists.
