We have setup an OpenVPN connection between two different locations. At the server side,  the WAN IP address is static and at the client side it changes on reboot since we are using a DSL connection.

After we setup our connection, it works great. We are able to ping each other from/to  the internal networks. However if the client side reboots, the connection drops. It cannot reconnect,  unless you reboot the server. Any suggestions?

Do you use a PKI or a SKI setup?
Did you check the "Assume dynamic IPs, so that DHCP clients can connect." checkbox?

We do what we must, because we can.

We are using SKI (shared key).  Yes, we have the check box  - Dynamic IP (Assume dynamic…)  checked.
