      Good Afternoon

I am just inquiring about how you create a rule to log basic port scans on the wan interface or anything that tries to contact or ping etc. on the WAN interface?  Is it creating a firewall rule? I do not want to install snort as I am just using an Alix2d2 router so I just want to use the basic functionality of the system log.

Any assistance or if someone could point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

      Thank you

Well out of the box the firewall logs everything it blocks that hits the wan.. What else could you need to log??

Is there a way to see what is hitting the wan via logs?
