Yes, and is itbecause of that the problem has come ???
-
-
Yes, you should be using RFC1918 addresses and you must fix that.
However, your portal should be working with the addresses as defined.

Is there any thing wrong in DHCP config, have attached the client status.

Image == network settings looks good.
On my NEW PC with Windows 'whatever version, like 7, 8, 8.1', as soon as I connect to a Wifi network that has the (pfsense, or whatever) portal function activated, a message pops up (from Windows !) that says to me that "More actions are needed" to connect to the net (Windows detects that is has NOT an Internet connection yet …. which is correct).
If you click on this popup-notification, a browser (your default browser) opens, and, loooooo, the pfsense portal page pops up - letting me authenticate. If that doesn't work you you well .... Tell use more then.
Btw: iDevices (Pad, Phone, Mac, etc) to the same thing.
Samsung stuff: I don't know .... but I guess they do the same thing. -
Did you configured a DNS forwarder or resolver on the pfSense. Not being able to resolv can lead to this problem.

Sigh. 10/8 - you are going to have 16 million computers on your network?

Erf.
What will happen when Ipv6 goes 'really' public ;) -
10/8 - you are going to have 16 million computers on your network?
Why do you think this is worth mentioning here?
It will make absolutely no difference in his scenario and won't solve the problem described.(Both of us would set it up differently but that's not the point, is it?).

Well - I supposed I'd recommend going with a /24 (because I'm simple minded mostly), unless there is a reason not to.
Sure I can work with /16 and /8s and I do when I have to. Does he have to?
