      Hello all,

I'm rather new to PFsense, but I've enjoyed the learning i've had t odo and it seems like a very capable firewall.

That being said I have been tasked with moving an existing VM Pfsense to a new host. The migration should be simple enough in VCenter but I don't know of any considerations I should have about the firewall. The new hardware does have four NICs so I should be able to assign it one for WAN and one for LAN easily enough.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

It should be easy.  vMotion it to the new host and you're done.  You didn't give much info other than that you're moving it, so I can't be any more specific.

          Like Kom said,
vMotion is the solution on your vCenter,
you can also Zip the VMX files and export them to a HDD and import them to the new Host.

but VMotion is the easy solution

            Sorry for the late reply!

I do appreciate the replies posted thus far and it appears (on the surface) that it will be straightforward providing I assign the 2 Wan and 1 Lan physical ports correctly to the VM and such.
