      Mar 5 11:50:47 kernel: ath0: stuck beacon; resetting (bmiss count 4)

      I am getting this over and over in my system logs.
      Is there anything I can look at to get more information or a known fix?

        Try 2.2.1 snapshots. (Not the 04-Mar-2015 ones, they are apparently incomplete, but 02-Mar-2015 should be fine.)

        http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_releng/10.1/amd64/pfSense_RELENG_2_2/updates/

        Other than that, with no information about the WLAN card model, relevant settings or whatnot, you probably won't see much advise here.

          Is there a way to get the model from within PFSense.  I do not recall what was included when I originally built the box.
          As far as settings, it's in AP mode, g/n mode, wpa2.

          When this happens it stops broadcasting at all.

              ath0@pci0:7:0:0:        class=0x028000 card=0x10891a3b chip=0x002b168c rev=0x01 hdr=0x00
                  class      = network

              Are there any other settings that may be relevant?

                Should be AR9285. As said above, try the snapshots, they have latest FreeBSD 11 ath drivers.
