Good afternoon, I wonder if anyone here in the forum already did bandwidth control via Captive Portal + Radius in pfSense? If so, I wonder what the Radius attribute that defines what the maximum speed of download and upload for each user.

Thank you in advance for help.

You can define the maximum download/upload speed for each CP user on the captive portal service page. Choose 'services/captive portal' then click the 'edit' button and scroll down the first tab about half-way. The entry is labelled 'per user bandwidth restriction'.

In this case it would be bandwidth control separately for each user. Meanwhile forum user in Portuguese sent me this link http://www.serveradminblog.com/2011/12/freeradius-install-howto-4-populating-tables/ now direct the bandwidth control parameters of the radius :
            Ascend-Xmit-Rate - Download
            Ascend-Data-Rate - Upload

Thanks for trying to help and I hope this topic help more people.

Does pfsense cp understand those radius attributes?
You'll probably have more luck with the wispr* attributes.

Is there option for Group bandwidth?

Like 5 mbps for some group, and its shared with its users.
Another group having  2 mbps  like that?
