In/out packets (count/calculation) Status->Interfaces
-
There must be something wrong with the In/out packets count/calculation:
I have this on Status->Interfaces 2577978/4931582 (170.72 MB/2.77 GB) but have more than 5 GB downloaded (a linux iso). So there is something wrong with the calculation…

Note: In/out counters will wrap at 32bit (4 Gigabyte) !

Ok, thanks. Didn't now that. So it's no error at all, it' a rollover (cut).

Yes, it's a built in freebsd counter. We can't change it.

thats too bad.. how hard would it be to dump the counter value to a text file/system variable/etc and keep adding it up every time it rolls over, so you get a true byte transfer counter from bootup

Probably not too hard but someone has to do it ;)

maybe vnstat or some packages could please you while you wait.

Let me rephrase: somebody has to be interested in doing it.
