Change RRD wan-in and wan-out?
-
Hello all,
My values for wan-in and wan-out are reversed. Wan-in should be wan-out and vice verse. Can I change these values?
Thanks!
-
It' always seen from the interface's point of view. Do you still think it's incorrect? Haven't seen that on any of my installs yet.
-
I'd prefer to reverse it for my own sanity. It's shows all our web traffic that goes out to our clients as wan-in traffic, which makes zero sense. :)
-
That indeed sounds incorrect and as I said, my installs don't show it this way. This is a 1.2 release?
-
Yep, the 3/24/2008 ISO I believe.
1.2-RELEASE
built on Sun Feb 24 17:04:58 EST 2008I am in bridge mode. Could that be the reason?

Interesting, I'll talk to Seth, who wrote the RRD-Code, and report back.
-
Wonderful, thanks!
Please pass my thanks to Seth too. The RRD feature is wonderful and to me, invaluable.
-
Can you make a screenshot of both the wan and lan graphs that show this?
Kind regards,
Seth

Hello guys,
After further testing, it appears this is working correctly. Score one for your RRD work because my old system - using the commercial product PRTG (Paessler Router Traffic Grapher) - wasn't displaying our traffic properly, it had the traffic flipped. In fact, under general usage, our servers do receive more inbound traffic than outbound. Very odd, but glad pfSense finally exposed it!
Thanks again,
Matt

We haven't found any error with the code but good to hear that it works as it should.
