      Hi Everyone,

I am just adapting to Pfsense and am trying to replicate a few of the capabilties used in my previous FW.

One of these being the ability to define specific access- and content filtering policies based on which group a client belongs to. I noticed pfsense firewall uses the concept of aliases based on e g FQDN. So if I define clients to belong to an aliases in the firewall (i e part of a group), can I use the same aliases to define rules for this group in SquidGuard?

The concept I am looking for is to be able to apply access- and content filtering on individual level (w/o using IP ranges or different subnets to distinguish the clients). What is the best practice to achieve this in Pfsense?
