      Brand new to PfSense

Just got a netgate ALIX.2D13 and installed Atheros DCMA-82, CM-11

From the GUI after initial setup it does not see the wireless card. When looking at dmesg log it shows ath0 Atheros installed - no errors

From here how to I configure the WLAN and/or initialize the card?

      Thanks,

      SJ

Kindly produce some screenshots of what you are doing.

              attached two shots

If I add the ath0_wlan1 interface it adds it as OPT2 - do I go this route and then enable it? Just trying to see where I configure my WLAN settings.

              Thanks,

Nevermind I see it now - just enable OPT2 rename and configure.

Yes. You need to assign the interface as already noted in my very first reply. (There's really no need to clone it unless you need multiple SSIDs.)
