      Hello Guys!

      I need your help.

I am running Pfsense on Soekris , pfsense 2.1.5-RELEASE (i386).

      Squid 2.7.9 and squidguard 1.4.

both installation ok.  proxy and filter running.
      I download the http://www.shallalist.de/Downloads/shallalist.tar.gz blacklist.

well at the beginning everything was Ok, proxy filter work… no porn, no warez everybody Happy.

After 3 days.. pfsense Crashed ... after the automatically reboot (no idea the reason) the filter(squidguard) could NOT find the blacklist so I re-download again.
but now is NOT working... no filtering.. both services are RUNNING .. but it's like nothing... checking the Squidlog

      Blocked No data!

checking proxy server/Real Time...  for proxy server I have info for Filtering is empty like Nothing..

I removed both packaged and installed the Squid3 and squidguard3..
but it's the same issue No filtering...

Should I remove both package... remove all the squid data and install it again??
should I reboot the pfsense and try??(is in production now and they are many user so I have to do it at night only)

please let me know if someone know why filter is not working.

      thanks in advance.

ok guys after checking the logs and config I found out that for some reason, the blacklist directory was empty.
        I re-download the blacklist.
        I re-enable all.
        now all is working.
        regards

Usa Squid 2.X con SquidGuard, con proxy no transparente y va bien.

The major issue here is that for some users (myself included) if pfsense restarts then squidguard needs to redownload the blacklist.

If you guys are using embedded version on an appliance, the /tmp folder sits in RAM and gets dumped every reboot, and that's where the blacklists are stored.
