Works for me. You're trying this in the user manager I take it? What happens when the new user tries to edit their account and set the password?

it show = Password successfully changed , but still can't use the new password to login and i found a funny thing and i not sure it maybe cause by the package!

V2.2.2 + squid3 + squidGuard + lightsquid + bandwidthd = the new password cannot update from normal account it self (with Full rules)
V2.2.1 + squid3 + squidGuard + lightsquid + bandwidthd = the new password cannot update from normal account it self (with Full rules)
V2.1.5 + squid3 + squidGuard + lightsquid + bandwidthd = the new password cannot update from normal account it self (with Full rules)

V2.1.5 + squid3-dev + squidGuard-squid3 + lightsquid + bandwidthd = no problem for normal account to make changer for the password (without Full rules)

            Hummm.
Probably not a 2.2.3 issue, but another "(squid3 or quidGuard or lightsquid or bandwidthd) == "broken"" issue.
