Dansguardian - want to reload from defaults

Dansguardian 2.12.0.3_2 pkg v.0.1.12

Was working OK but suddenly with no changes made it won't start:

I have restored back to this morning's autobackup but it still won't start.

In SSH I have found:

Confused…...help please!

I have been trying to fix this - have removed DG package and reinstalled again but of course it recreates all the config from config.xml, which has a LOT of DG stuff in there.
So it still falls over in a heap.

How can I remove all the DG stuff from config.xml, or alternatively load DG with all default settings?
Had a quick look in viconfig but there isn't a simple <dansguardian></dansguardian>section I can just remove.
