Block internet not working

Hi, just installed a fresh pfsense 1.2. working.

now, i want to limit internet access. i follows the doc  : http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Example_basic_configuration

if i disable the default rule, internet is blocked. i cannot access any site

if i enable it , it works again?

what's wrong? anyone can help to resolve it?

my setup is basic :

LAN -> pfsense -> internet ADSL

Since it's unlikely that something is wrong with the doc's. You should post your lan rules ( screen dump is the easy way)
