      Hi,

We're going to use pfSense and HAproxy as a load balancer for a couple of frontends running http. We already have another firewall in place and want to make the load balancer available to both internal and external users. That's why we need to configure input and output to be on the same interface (the pfsense boxes will only have one interface each apart from the pfsync interfaces).

Is there a recommended way to do this? Is it even possible? We would like to do it on pfSense to make use of CARP for automatic failover.

I don't think there are recommendations for your scenario.. But from what i expect it should work alright for most options like your planning it..
