          i installed squid3 with transparent
          http://techknight.eu/2015/04/17/pfsense-setup-and-configure-squid3-transparent-proxy/
i used this and it worked. at least all services where started and the cache directory did increase in size when i visited a site( very little tho, but i dont have the idea that cache is being used.

My second problem was i changed some settings and tried to restart it but it never wanted to start again. I changed the settings back and still wont start again. So i uninstalled it again untill i can figure out how i can test if cache is really working.

please check service -> Proxy server -> Real time (tab)
then you can see the files there are being served (you can see the different codes here : http://wiki.squid-cache.org/SquidFaq/SquidLogs )

if you have any Questions then just ask on the site for quick response and i will try to answer the best I can.

Th quickest way to test the cache is to look at squid's access log: /var/squid/logs/access.log

You can also run this command from shell and get a lot of squid metrics:

              squidclient -p 3128 -h <lan ip=""> mgr:info</lan>
