I've got pfSense 2.2.4 running in Hyper-V 2012 R2. It's running smooth but I'm playing around with trying to reduce my bufferbloat (since dslreports speedtest now tests it). If I run the speedtest from a virtual machine connected to the same virtual switch that the pfSense LAN side is connected to it has no bufferbloat. When testing from any other machine that is externally connected to that vswitch there is bufferbloat. Is there a setting somewhere that I should be playing with (either in Windows or pfSense)?

To test if it was the virtualization on it's own that was the problem I build a dedicated pfSense box to do some tests and when I plugged it in to the internet and ran test through it my bufferbloat was more. I've also got nic teaming on my lan side and to see if that was the issue I disabled teaming and just connected one nic to the vswitch and no difference.

Does anyone have any ideas as to lowering my bufferbloat? I just know that in trying to reduce my bufferbloat I'm going to end up learning many new things about pfSense and routing :)

      Thank you.
