      Hi,

i am a newbie on pfsense. can someone guide me on how to setup, squid and squidguard? because every time i installed the squid package. websites from china cannot be accessed and users can't send picture and files using skype and QQ messenger.

but whenever i uninstall the squid package everything will run smoothly again. users (i have 30 users) can send files and pictures through skype, yahoo messenger and QQ messaging and they can access websites from china.

i like to install squid for it's purpose but browsing through chinese websites and sending files and pictures on messaging apps is very vital for our company.

can someone please help with this? i will really appreciate it :)

      Thank you in Advance.

      Kris Noah

websites from china cannot be accessed

Please give an example.  What website?  What exactly do you mean when you say can't be accessed? Is there an error message?  Does it time out?  Does it work for other sites not based in China?

Both of those sites work for me, and I'm using squid and squidguard.  In Services - Proxy server - General - Logging Settings, what do you have for X-Forward Mode and Disable VIA?  Try setting X-Forward to Delete and check the Disable VIA box and try again.
