Ok, I have a pfsense firewall version 1.2.3. When I setup the alias and rule to block a site, it will not block. I am receiving a message: root: ip-blacklist was found not running
can anyone assist. If my firewall is unable to block sites die to my version that would be great to know. Also if this is true what version do I need to be on to block sites. Is there a way to start this blocklist?

I doubt these things are related.  Blacklists are for automatic blocking.  You're talking about a rule you entered manually.  Describe what you are really trying to do, and a screencap of the rule that you created.

Yeah, you are 6 years behind. Good luck.
