Does captive portal work with pfsense running transparent firewall mode?  I can't seem to get it to work, and I found an older document saying it's not possible.  Has this been added to later releases?  I'm using v1.2 Release.
      Thanks,
      Mike

Current pfSense 1.2 captive portal requires NAT to be enabled. At this time transparent firewall mode does not work with captive portal. I'm not aware at this time of any plan to change that for pfSense 1.3. If you really want this feature I recommend you put the feature request up as a bounty.

I was afraid of that! :)  Thanks for the reply.  Can you point me in the right direction to the captive portal source code?  I was going to have a crack at it but couldn't find it.
          Thanks for your help,
          Mike

pfSense originally came from the m0n0wall project and the pfSense developers have a new look and many additional features. Captive Portal was written by m0n0wall developers and is occasionally synced to pfSense.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a supported developer at this point (in m0n0).
