    Hi,

Good day. I just installed squid and I dont think that is working well. So far here are a few things ive noticed

    • Yahoo messenger keeps logging in & out after a few minutes
    • Uploading to imgur using sharex doesnt work, but uploading through imgur directly works
    • Uploading to FB doesnt work
    • FB chat sidebar disconnects after a few minutes
    • TeamViewer doesnt work anymore (probably because upload seems not to work properly)
    • I downloaded a driver from nvidia for 7 times now, and looks like its not being cached at all.

    Surfing works fine though.

    Any workaround for this?

    Thanks,
    Karl

There is no general magic fix.  Look through your log files (/var/squid/logs/access.log) and address each issue individually.

I just checked squid's access log, and everything is a TCP_MISS not a single HIT.

All I did was set transparent proxy & squid proxy on and the interface to LAN.

I didnt change anything in the local cache settings besides the disk size to 5000MB & maximum object size to 400MB.

Anything I missed on my setup?

And how's that related to "upload not working"? Sigh.

More specifically, what is in the log at the time that you get one of these errors?

@KOM http://pastebin.com/mEgWRFpH Im just downloading drivers from nvidia over and over again and some speedtest.

@finalcut if I remove squid so does the uploading fail problem. So I think its not with my switch.

Also just to add something. I have 2 pfsense setups on my vm.

pf1 192.168.1.1 has 2 isp being load balance
pf2 192.168.1.2 is getting internet from 192.168.1.1 and has squid installed
