Blacklist path

apology.. new to the forum.. i have downloaded and using squidguard. .. i want to delete some of url (which are blocked) from this list but could not find where it resides on disk.. i read somewhere it resides in /tmp folder but it is not there..

Have you had a look here?:
https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/SquidGuard_package#Exclude_domain.2FURL_from_blacklist
-
thanks..
is it possible to directly view and edit the shallalist blacklist ? -
That's not how you do it. Use ACLs to decide which policies are applied to which users. Manually editing the list will result in all your changes being lost at the next update.

i appreciate your reply and completely agree what you have said..
just for the sake of knowledge, if it is possible to edit the list manually? -
Technically, yes, but it's best to whitelist the domains you want to bypass rather than edit the list manually for the reason already given below:
@KOM:Manually editing the list will result in all your changes being lost at the next update.

just for the sake of knowledge, if it is possible to edit the list manually? It is completely possible but, personally, I don't recommend you to do that. Why? It is a time waste. When you rebuild the blacklist or update it, all your changes will be lost so… don't XD.
The easyest way to do that is creating a target category for your "whitelist" and using ACL (like KOM said) to allow it's access to everyone.
Good luck!

thanks for your reply
as i said above, just for the sake of my knowledge how can i edit the list if you can guide me ?
-
The blacklist is stored in /var/db/squidGuard
Good luck.
