      hey.

i updated to ff3 and noticed that the "system" and the "diagnostics" menu in the webgui are now overlapping each other on the same line… didn't have this issue before

      i'm using pfsense 1.2, ff3, 1680x1050 res

        Same issue.

Does not happen in FF2 or IE7.  This could be a FF3 bug (or feature!)  :)

        Update:
Upon further study, I noticed I could fix the issue by going into FF3 Tools Menu, Options, Content Tab, Fonts & Colors and changing the Default Size from 16 to 15.  However, the font settings are the same as they were in FF2.  I hope this info helps somebody.

For me this happens only with metallic theme, other themes work fine on FF3.

I have about five installations in various offices - all were using the "metallic" theme, but only two were up-to-date with 1.2REL - the others were at 1.2RC3 or so.  When I upgraded to FF3, the two up-to-date ones overlapped as you're describing (unfortunately, you change the theme in General, which was underneath!)

Eventually I was able to access the lower menu and get to General Setup (hint - use the Tab key), and switched to the "pfsense" theme, which is narrower.  The "Firewall Logs" item on the Dashboard is still wrong, but I can read everything and access all the menus.

            It looks like
            -  under 1.2 REL
            -  under Firefox 3
everything is rendered just a tiny bit wider than before.

Sorry -  correction.  The machines that are still on 1.2RC3 were also using "nervecenter", not "metallic".  I switched to "metallic", and the same problem appears - the System menu is overlaid by the Diagnostics menu.

              So: metallic + FF3 = trouble.

It also happens with theme "Nervecenter" on Opera 9.5.

                Not tried other themes.

Using nervecenter with several pfsense boxes and opera 9.5, and no problems at all.
TBH FF3 is what made me switch to Opera since it suck so much and its starting to be a big money stuff, their download day thing made me hate mozilla so much.

Hi, I fixed this another way.  Here is my post about this:

                    http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,10975.0.html

(No idea if editing the all.css file for Nervecenter will fix the issue as I don't have Opera but you could always give it a go)

If you want the exact steps, here they are:

1 - Go to Diagnostic: Edit file (you should still be able to click this one)
2 - In the Save/Load from path box, type in /usr/local/www/themes/metallic/all.css and click Load
3 - Scroll down until the / Style the List / section.
4 - Change the line that reads width: 800px; to be width: 802px; and click Save
5 - Clear your FF cache and reload the pfSense page to check it worked
