Strange issue with 4th VPN client Setup
-
Hi,
I got 3 VPN clients setup and running since a while now. This is all good and I got no Issue with this.
I created another 4th VPN Client with the same service provider as the other 3.
the 4th client connects fine and I got an IP from the Server. I setup the Outbound NAT the same way as the other 3 clients. So, all is looking good. The Dashboard shows a fine ping to the 4th gateway , But I can't use the connection.
If I ping the GW IP of the 4th client from my Desktop, most of the time I get a timeout. Sometimes it works for some time, then it stops working. Surfing sometimes works fine, sometimes not.
If I exchange the server host IP of client 3 and 4 , both connect fine, but client 4 is still not working. So I assume its a local setup which I did not setup correctly.Anyone got an Idea of what is wrong ?

Just as a test I added a 5th VPN Client to my setup and experience the same issue.
I'm not sure which stepp I missed. I did the NAT bit and the Gateway for multi WAN setup.
No Idea…If you need more Data or screenshots please shout !

Hi,
thanks for checking this one.
I don't think I need screenshots but I would like to check from where the 6th client that PureVPN is seeing is coming. Do you have idea on how to check on CLI the currently running clients? Thanks!

Hi,
not sure what you mean, I'm not using PureVPN.

Hi,
it doesn't matter what service you're using. Just need to have a way to check for currently running openvpn instances. I should be able to do it via CLI. On GNU/Linux I know how to do it, not on FreeBSD :)

Anyone knows if there is an limit on outbound NAT rules ?
I don't understand why sometimes I can ping the Gateway of the remote VPN Server and most of the time it does not work.
Any help is much appreciated. -
Ok, the Issue is gone away after re-installing the box.
