      Hello guys,

I am facing a problem while i am trying download blacklist (http://www.shallalist.de/Downloads/shallalist.tar.gz) .
I have installed squid 3 and squidguard.I have connectivity with internet. For the downloading i have followed the instructions from here https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/SquidGuard_package#Exclude_domain.2FURL_from_blacklist

      The error is the following.

      Begin blacklist update
      Start download.
      Download archive http://www.shallalist.de/Downloads/shallalist.tar.gz
Download error: Failed to connect to www.shallalist.de port 80: Operation timed out
      Bad content from http://www.shallalist.de/Downloads/shallalist.tar.gz. Terminate.

I have remove and reinstall the package. In addition in General Settings on Squidguard i have checked Blacklist Options.
      What am i doing wrong?

      Thank you.

Sounds like www.shallalist.de is unreachable from your firewall. Check your firewall's DNS, default gateway/routing, etc.

jimp is right, In "Diagnostics" -> "Ping" do a ping to www.shallalist.de and verify if it responds. if not, your interface or routing settings (including gateway config) may be wrong.
