      There's a simplistic, pictographical tutorial, here:  http://devicehelp.boostmobile.com/scenario/Fuse_Mobile_Hotspot/Boost_Mobile/en/Use_as_a_Tethered_Modem_via_USB_Cable

But, that probably assumes you are using the latest Windows, or a late model Mac.  :-/

For the Sprint versioned device, I found a PDF User Guide:
      http://support.sprint.com/global/pdf/user_guides/netgear/netgear_fuse_mobile_hotspot/netgear_fuse_mobile_hotspot_ug.pdf
On PDF page 22-23, print indexed page 17-18, of the Sprint version manual, tethering is discussed, with "TRU-Install", which seems like it would be time for "USB Modeswitch", as previously seen on Linux.  I've seen usb devices automatically flip flop from the mass storage, to the modem, on pfSense, assuming it was coded into that version of BSD.

For the Sprint version, from that PDF User Guide, FCC ID: PY3AC778S
Often it can be determined from that, if it will work in usb mode on pfSense?

But, perhaps someone else has a better, cheaper idea for those of us not using embedded pfSense.
With an alternative internal device, one can do without that interface having WiFi, and you only need a SIM card, from the carrier/MVNO.

      :-)
