DHCP Server version (4.2.8) deprecated
-
Maybe a non-issue, but current 2.3 version is packed with Internet Systems Consortium DHCP Server 4.2.8 ( my logfile tells me )
When I look at https://www.isc.org/downloads/, this version is deprecated.Am I missing something?

ISC DHCP 4.2 is, indeed, end of life and expires from the FreeBSD ports tree on 1 March.
ISC DHCP 4.3 is available in FreeBSD ports. A quick scan of the release notes for DHCP 4.3.3-P1 does not throw up any major issues with upgrading, though this is an area that has the possibility of strange regressions.

We do need to go to 4.3. There are some test packages up for it that we're going through before flipping the switch.
If anyone else would like to try, run the following via SSH.
pkg update pkg delete -f -x isc-dhcp\* pkg install -f isc-dhcp43-client isc-dhcp43-relay isc-dhcp43-server
Then reboot afterwards.
DHCP client and server both still working fine after that. I'll be getting to testing relay at some point today. Doesn't appear any of it will require any changes outside changing the package version that's used.

After tests are finished we are going to move from 4.2 to 4.3 for all users

Just updated and saw 4.2 being uninstalled and new 4.3 package added to pfSense.
