I have two different cable providers. Both modems are accessible via a portal at 192.168.100.1.

      Connection 1 via re0
      Connection 2 via bge1_vlan350

I thought I could add a static route and point it via which ever gateway I needed to troubleshoot, but it appears as though it continues to be load-balanced. Has anyone verified that static routes correctly function?

They work. Firewall rules specifying a gateway override the routing table.
