Squid3 not starting

Hi I have pfsense 2.26 installed and I am trying to install squid3 and having problems, I install squid 3 start service and it keeps saying proxy server stopped, I installed a fresh pfsense installation and still same problem, I installed old squid and it worked fine the problem is with squid3, any ideas what can this problem be?

use wincp delete all previous squid

Sorry I do not follow please ex plane better, if I read correctly wincp is to tranfser files

after uninstalling squid used wincp to delete squid files which was left behind by the program in /usr/pbi/(squid-amd64/squid-i386) to make sure find files in wincp using squid*.* what ever the result delete it manually then after that reboot reinstall squid package. :)

The problem was cos I enabled transparent mode right after installation for some reason, so I installed squid3 restarted pfsense setup and started squid3 restarted again then turned on transparent proxy and all is ok. Now last small problem when I enable transparent ssl https sites do not load any ideas on this?

This is normal and the reason you should avoid transparent mode unless you plan on installing a pfSense certificate into every client that will use the proxy.
