Problems downloading torrent on wifi router
Hello,
Hope someone can help me. I have an ASUS wireless router, RT-N66U setup behind my pfSense box. I’m connected using a LAN port on my wireless router to my WLAN interface on my pfSense box with the gateway set at 192.168.2.1 and my wireless router set at 192.168.2.2 LAN port. Internet access works perfectly. I have WAN, Firewall, Virtual Server/Port Forwarding and DHCP disabled on my wifi router.
My issue is I’m unable to download torrents with BitTorrent set on my ASUS router using download master and a USB stick. On my pfSense box I have a port forwarding rule set which I now works as I have tested it using BitTorrent app on my laptop.
One thing I did find on the routers general log was transmission-daemon[15650]: DHT dht.transmissionbt.com:6881: Name or service not known (tr-dht.c:123).
I don’t know where to check next to solve my issue. I have contacted ASUS support but up to now they haven’t been much help. Your help would be much appreciated.Regards,

just wondering, are you running the rt-n66u in access point mode or router mode with the services you mentioned disabled?
