      Hi guys,
What "Base URL" do I put in the "Firmware Auto Update URL" to get the beta's here https://snapshots.pfsense.org/amd64/pfSense_master/updates/

      Thanks.

PS. sorry for what seems to be a very simple question, but I've been searching for the info. for half an hour :(

EDIT: ok, i think it's as follows using the ssh menu option13

      Enter an option: 13

Starting the pfSense console firmware update system..

      1) Update from a URL
      2) Update from a local file
      Q) Quit

Please select an option to continue: 1

Enter the URL to the .tgz or .img.gz update file.
      Type 'auto' to use https://updates.pfsense.org/_updaters/latest.tgz
      > https://snapshots.pfsense.org/amd64/pfSense_master/updates/pfSense-Full-Update-2.3-BETA-amd64-latest.tgz

you can download a full update file. you can use the manual update feature in the webgui.
i have no clue if there currently is an auto-update url available.

The RC images are being tested internally before we publish them, they'll be up before too long.

There isn't an active "auto-update" URL that 2.2.x or earlier can read from currently, but you can feed a full URL to an update file to a console or ssh session using option 13, then option 1, from a 2.2.x or earlier install.

thanks for infos. I will take the step of changing my setup to 64bit (amd64) as my pcengines APU should work with this, right?
Taking the way via console now.

Yes, APU will work with 64-bit images.

On my way. Backup to xml, upgrade to pfSense-CE-Full-Update-2.3-BETA-amd64-latest.tgz via console.
Takes quite a while already to unpack/install. Looking forward if it even boots  ;) (considering the change of platform on the way)

When switching architectures it can have trouble rebooting afterward. You may have to manually power cycle it if it doesn't reboot on its own after a few minutes.

This looks strange … the process lasts for over an hour already. Just "Firmware upgrade in progress..." and then one dot after the other.
The webgui isn't reachable anymore: "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '*' in /etc/inc/util.inc on line 869".
Internet works ... should I powercycle already? hmm ...

EDIT: solved via reboot. 2.3 beta up and running! nice ;-) thanks!
