I have put pfSense on VirtualBox and my VirtualBox btw is BSD 64-bit.  When I go to option 1 of assigning interfaces it shows valid interfaces and says they're up, but I keep getting this message:  Connect the WAN interface now and make sure link is up?  Please see below screenshots.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That'd be em0 (zero) not "emo". Your interfaces aren't cutting themselves and writing dark poetry.  :D

The 'a' is really only applicable to physical hardware where you can unplug and replug the NICs to identify them.
