Getting message Connect the WAN interface now and make sure link is up?

  • I have put pfSense on VirtualBox and my VirtualBox btw is BSD 64-bit.  When I go to option 1 of assigning interfaces it shows valid interfaces and says they're up, but I keep getting this message:  Connect the WAN interface now and make sure link is up?  Please see below screenshots.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • That'd be em0 (zero) not "emo". Your interfaces aren't cutting themselves and writing dark poetry.  :D

The 'a' is really only applicable to physical hardware where you can unplug and replug the NICs to identify them.
