      Hi!

Has anyone ever tried to use an alternative OpenVPN client? The original client (https://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html) is - in my opinion - complete useless. I can't give administrator privileges to simple users, and the workarounds for this (http://openvpn.se/files/howto/openvpn-howto_run_openvpn_as_nonadmin.html) are crap.

      I tried already:

      • the solution from pfSense -> free -> it's working, but the software is already old.

      • the Securepoint SSL VPN Client (https://sourceforge.net/projects/securepoint/files) -> free -> was not able to connect to my pfSense

      • the Viscosity OpenVPN client (https://www.sparklabs.com/viscosity) -> only $9/client -> worked in less than 5 minutes

      Thanks for any informations,
      Christian.

Viscosity is great, we recommend it all the time. The only downside is the cost. If you're OK with the cost it's an excellent bit of software and works on both Mac and Windows without any problems we're aware of.
