Could we have a tidy up of the stickies on this board and another one for a link to the list of bugs related to the release and directions on what you want looked at.

It would also be handy if extraneous stuff was dropped in the stickies and only authoritative (ie ESF) stuff was put in there.

Not sure of the best approach but perhaps a series of stickies that pointed to the bug tracker with various canned queries.  You have quite a large and responsive community and making the best use of that could help speed up development.  Not all syadmins are familiar with bug trackers but could be pointed in the right direction to provide feedback and reports.

      Cheers
      Jon

Well looking at only the 2.3 target open issues can be a little misleading since most of the issues have been pushed into 2.3.1 and beyond target.

I think this paints a fuller picture:

          Status: Open
          Tracker: Bug
          Target: 2.3, 2.3.1, 2.4, and Future

It's a good point. What's there is largely still relevant though.

Right now we're going through all the test matrix internally and verifying everything on all hardware and VM platforms, and upgrading any remaining systems to 2.3 that haven't yet been upgraded.

Upgrades should be safe at this point. We're in as good of shape as what RC has been in past releases, and this time around we'll be able to have a much shorter RC cycle with minimal changes between RC and release.

So the biggest thing where people can help right now is to go ahead and upgrade your home systems, and any others you're comfortable with. I've upgraded a variety of test circumstances in the past week, and a couple customer production systems where they were having issues that were fixed in 2.3, with no problems.

Probably a stupid question, but is there a place to double check which packages are available in 2.3? I would consider upgrading my home system, for instance, but I want to make sure I'm not using something that isn't available in 2.3 first…

In the attachments below; I have included all the packages avaliable as far as the latest snapshot (March 29th 01:50). I have a few installed already, so if you believe something is not on the list; double check with the last attachment.
