      Hi,
I was wondering if someone could shed some light on this?

So I have set up a new pfSense box with squid and squidguard everything working well. Then on the 28 in the afternoon it stopped filtering but the proxy keeps working. I have my browser with the proxy no issue there and I can navigate.

Then tried looking at the squidguard troubleshoot

      echo "http://www.facebook.com/ - squid GET -" | /usr/pbi/squidguard-amd64/etc/squidGuard -c /usr/pbi/squidguard-amd64/etc/squidGuard/squidGuard.conf -d

      and i would get

      /usr/pbi/squidguard-amd64/etc/squidGuard: Permission denied.

But whats funny on another pfSense box which is working the filter i get the same permission denied so im guessing thats not the issue.

Not sure how I can trouble shoot squidguard

      Also reinstalled it again

      Thank you

EDIT: I think its starting then stopping any ideas?

      EDIT: SOLVED
For some odd reason it was the black list i tried adding another and same issue so in reality not sure what it was so i made custom target groups copying from the blacklist and adding manual each domain and URL now its working so odd…
