        If it's supported by FreeBSD 10.3 (link is to the supported hardware list), then it will work in pfSense 2.3.

        The S in IOT stands for Security

          There is no specific answer
          The re(4) driver supports RealTek RTL8139C+, RTL8169, RTL816xS, RTL811xS, RTL8168, RTL810xE and RTL8111 based Fast Ethernet and Gigabit. RTL8111 is there but is some version G H  etc.

          In a moment i tell you but i read in some official place that is compatible in 10.3.

          Edit:
          I have the mini-pc  GB-BACE-3000  http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5569#sp supposedly with Realtek 8111H an is working. Don't know if works well but is recognized and route stuff.

          pfSense:
          ASRock -> Wolfdale1333-D667 (2GB TeamElite Ram)
          Marvell 88SA8040 Sata to CF(Sandisk 4GB) Controller
          NIC's: RTL8100E (Internal ) and Intel® PRO/1000 PT Dual (Intel 82571GB)
