Squid on 2.3-RC

Hello!

I'm having problems with Squid on 2.3-RC. If I enable it I can only connect to HTTPS websites (Transparent proxy is on), if I want to connect through HTTP website won't load. I'm not entirely sure that is because 2.3-RC but I can say that it was working perfectly on 2.2.6.

I'm not sure what would be helpful information to help debug the problem. I also tried to remove and install again Squid, but same results.

Hello, I have the same problem.
pfsense 2.3 rc + squidguard
If I disable squid proxy server and squidguard proxy filter, I am able to visit sites in http and https.

check to make sure the last line in the target rule under common acl is not set to deny all.

Thanks for the reply . The problem is that it does not start the squidguard service. I tried to start the service manually , but will not start .

Maybe I understand where the problem is . In squidguard , if you start the download of the blacklist by http://www.shallalist.de/Downloads/shallalist.tar.gz link , does not start

today i upgraded from stable to RC and i had issue with squid but after flushing the old squid cache everything is working fine

so check the system logs , for the issue

Thanks a lot for the answer. I cleaned the cache quid and now the squid and squidguard services start . But I can not update the blacklist . The download does not start

from pfsense ssh are you able to ping names
eg

ping www.shallalist.de

when u Squidguard > Blacklist >
Blacklist update : http://www.shallalist.de/Downloads/shallalist.tar.gz

when u click Download button what is it saying in blacklist update log ?

u should get something like this


Begin blacklist update
Start download.
Download archive http://www.shallalist.de/Downloads/shallalist.tar.gz
Download complete
Unpack archive
Scan blacklist categories.
Found 74 items.
Start rebuild DB.
Copy DB to workdir.
Reconfigure Squid proxy.
Blacklist update complete.

I can ping www.shallalist.de , but when I click on download nothing happens .
Where can I find the blacklist update log ? Under the download button blacklists I have no pane. Rather , a box appears briefly but then disappears .

Sorry guys , the problem is firefox . Now I'm using chrome and everything is fine . still sorry
