Multiple bridges / transparent firewall

I'm about to deploy pfSense in my network (note that I have not used pfSense before, that's probably the only reason I'm asking), and I want to use it as a bridging firewall for two networks using four network interfaces like this:

[ISP       ] --->----o| -bridge- |o--->--- [ public subnet ]
                      |          |
[VPN ROUTER] ---<----o| -bridge- |o---<--- [ LAN subnets   ]
                      +----------+

• but before I start, all I want to know is if pfSense will support firewalling two bridges - not 'how', but 'if'.
