      Hello,

I just started to use pfsense again after a few years. Installed 2.3, squid and squidguard. So far so good. But how do the blacklists get updated? Do I have to do that manually, or is there a possibility for a schedule?

In avance thanks for your reactions.

Old topic but still relevant, I believe it has to be done manually, unfortunately.

Thanks D0X. Hope automatic updates will be available soon; should be standard in an UTM.

pfSense isn't a UTM.  It's a firewall with a small selection of packages for convenience.

Sorry; you'r e right. But giving the opportunity to install squidguard and not giving the opportunity to update automaticly isn't the right way either.

I agree that it could definitely be improved, but I wanted to make sure you weren't under some false notion about what pfSense is and isn't.
