      Hello,

I just updated my home pfSense from 2.3 to 2.3_1.
I usually make this before deciding to go with production pfsense updates.

      The blog states

Updating ntpd from 4.2.8p6 to 4.2.8p7 is the only change.

When reading the upgrade log, from pfsense, it seems that the squidGuard package also gets updated.

      Success

Altough this is not a big deal, it would be nice to know what gets updated before doing it so we know what critical services needs to be checked later.
Maybe a side effect of the new package update system ?

      Regards,
      Ozy.

        The _1 update involved NTP.
But since 2.3 everything is a package.

So every package gets updated when updating the system

I understand this, but it should be advertised on the release notes :)

If you have packages installed that are outdated, yes they'll also be updated in the process. We'll have to clarify that in the future, showing which packages will be upgraded.
